Privacy and discretion are two key factors that set the foundation for a positive therapeutic experience.  Feeling connected and understood is also paramount, as that will sustain the treatment in more difficult times.

Hearing one’s story out loud, and perhaps rewriting it collaboratively, can help ease suffering.  It resolves symptoms that may be a result of physiological imbalance, unprocessed developmental trauma, or unconscious conflict.  Failure to launch, feeling paralyzed, or experiencing depression and anxiety that interfere with everyday life all warrant a thorough psychiatric evaluation.  Relationships and careers often benefit from the increased insight that comes from working on oneself.  Medication can also play a role in helping to alleviate symptoms, if used thoughtfully and deliberately.   Finding the right treatment is sometimes an endeavor in itself, so please feel welcome to call and inquire.
